&& nostalgia and grass blades

Jun 16, 2005 00:32

And it starts, I wasn't going to share this but hey, you know me I'm all open. So I went for a walk today, down the street, around the corner, and at that intersection, yes the intersection. I hadn't stopped there lately, I knew I probably wasn't in the best condition to withstand a visit to you. I'm sorry Andre.

&& i'm sure the people who drove by in their cars thought that I was crazy, a girl sitting on the corner with a flower in one hand, and one behind her ear. While silent tears rolled down her face. What type of loser does that. Remember how you told me nothing was worth my tears, and that boys didn't find girls who cried pretty, just so I would smile? I do.

I played in the grass today down that incline in my back yard where we use to play when we were kids. I got those running starts and managed to jump the evil trench which encased those alligators that could eat us (the ditch isnt as scary now I promise), I climbed those trees, and I finally broke my fear of heights, I went the highest I could go.

I got home from work and layed in the grass and watched the clouds change the moons colours and shadowings, I sang The Spice Girls at the top of my lungs and I'm sure I woke up the neighborhood, and I just laid there like we use to, despite the bugs best efforts to bring me inside. I find myself stuck in the past some days, and asking myself "what would Andre tell me to do". And you know, its hard to believe that it will be three years next month, since I saw yer face and heard your voice. I got online, and I went to Jackie Bergs page, and I won't lie, I cried. I cried harder than I have in a while. I still have one of the four leaf clovers that we found... the other one is down the street, somewhere in the field where we use to play as kids.

Basically, I just wanted you to know I didn't forget about you lovely, and that i miss and love you still everyday.

I can't wait to see you again Andre... I miss you.
