So it's another thanksgiving in central pennsylvania. And looking back, I think it's one of the better ones. why? a) i wasn't stood up by a sig. other because they were drunk(this year the boy is far away so he's got an excuse for not being with me, lol), b)it's not raining, and c)it's 73 degrees. Last year wasn't bad perse, but it was rainy, cold, and just not at all fun. This year my family is here, my parent's are proud of my accomplishments so there are no bad feelings at the table, and we're overall a lot closer of a family than the previous years.
every year I make my list of what I'm thankful for.
so here it goes.
1) thank God for everything he's given me and helped me get through this year. The whole beginning of the year was rough since Lyndi's death. I still can't believe she's gone, and her baby is growing up without her. But I've made a total 180 from those first few months.
2) Greysen. Although he's on the opposite coast, he's been very influential in my life. he changed a lot of my habits, and made me a more responsible person. He's on my mind all day, I can't wait to see him in january.
3) my family. throughout my life, my family hasn't been the close type. I'm very different from most of my family. This year was different though. We've all gotten closer. I can disclose more information to my mom about what I'm doing with my time, although she doesn't agree with some things, all that aside, we get along a lot better than we did while i was living at home.
4) my friends. If it wasn't for certain people, I wouldn't have made it through. This has been a high stress year over all, and without these people I don't know where I'd be. This has been a year of weeding out the real friends from the aquaintances. These people around me now, I wouldnt change for the world. A lot of new friends were made again. I'm thankful for Tess everyday of my life, she's like my new sister that i feel like i've known all my life. Another new friend that I'm ridiculously thankful for is Mike, aka my azbff. He's dealt with a lot of bitching and complaining these past few months (i'm sorry!) and i'm pretty much convinced that he's the male version of me. i love it.
and i'm thankful for everything else in my life too, i really can't make a list this year, i dont have much not to be thankful for except my landlord. hah.
Happy Thanksgiving anyone who still reads this. :)
