Corps de Coleur tutorial

Feb 05, 2007 13:09

A few gals have been asking for looks done with the Corps de Coleur quad by MAC, so I decided to do a tutorial of my version :]

I added images of what I used in each step, just click the link :D

What I used:
Smimmermint & Beige-Ing shadesticks (MAC)
Corps de Coleur quad (MAC)
Meadowland eyeshadow (MAC)
Pink Opal & White pigments (MAC)
Telescopic mascara (Loreal)
Pout lipgloss (Smashbox)
En Pointe lipglass (MAC)

I start off with a clean, moisturized face. I don't usually take pictures of my foundation process, but a few people asked what I used.

I first apply Sephora's Perfection Base right over my moisturizer. I let that set for 2 minutes and apply either Loreal Cashmere Perfect or True Match foundation.

After applying that, I kabuki the crap out of my MAC Matte MSF (in light) and buff it in. After I do all of that, I start my eye makeup.

I fill my brows in with Rimmel's brow pencil in Hazel.

I then apply Shimmermint shadestick to the entire lid area and an eensy bit in the crease.

I then apply Beige-Ing shadestick to the entire crease and blend it into Shimmermint. I normally don't do this, but when I'm using two different colours for the crease/lid, I find that doing this tends to make blending a lot easier, and the lines aren't so harsh.

With the #217 by MAC, I apply Meadowland eyeshadow to the entire lid.

I then apply Footwork to the crease with a #239 by MAC.

With the #239 again, I apply Leap to the crease and blend upwards (or try to :P)

With my no-name brand brush, I apply some Pink Opal pigment right above the crease and blend it into Leap. I don't add too much pigment, this mostly just helps me blend.

I then grab some Vapour eyeshadow and apply it to the browbone, leaving just a tiny bit of space right under my brows.

I fill that space in with a very minute amount of White pigment. I have no idea why, but I always do this, I just like the finished look of it?

With the #239, I apply Terre a Terre eyeshadow to the very outer lid and part of the crease. I try to be light handed when applying this so that it doesn't come out too dark.

I also apply Terre a Terre to the lower lashline, again, light handedly.

I then apply Footwork to the inner "V" and add a little bit to the inner, lower lashline.

Mascara! I used Telescopic which is amazing, IMO :]

I comb those babies out and then I'm done!

Quack.

Optional...

I applied Smashbox Pout lipgloss with some MAC En Pointe lipglass in the pout! My new favourite lip combo :D

As always, suggestions are totally welcome. I can handle constructive criticism. However, the whole "OMGzz u suck" is uncalled for. You have the right to an opinion, but don't be an asshat about it :)
