Pottering about...and then hobnobbing with a hobbit
After two months or so, Z finally finished reading these books:
As a result, he was inspired to build these with Lego! :)
I still have these, brand-new-in-package from when they were first released here. I haven't opened them but typical of a boy, Z has expressed that he wants to read the Quidditch one. ;)
To gently steer him away from contemporary literature/Pottermania, I've introduced this classic fantasy/adventure story to him:
I'd wondered if he would like it after the admittedly captivating HP series with its children-pleasing subjects and themes. To my relief, he has told me that he enjoys The Hobbit and finds it amusing, especially with the introduction of the dwarves.
To be able to read is truly a joy...and a privilege. I hope Isaac grows to love books like Z and I do!
