It had been weeks and this... thing between them hadn't gotten any better.

They still lived under the same roof, slept in the same bed, but it didn't feel like they were a couple. Hell, it hardly felt like they were friends, to be honest, and of all the miserable shit Tom had gone through, with Paul and with other people, he couldn't remember it feeling like this.

He'd been unfair. He knew it. Paul and Robin had been together for over a decade. He couldn't expect him to just break it off. That hadn't even been what he'd wanted. He'd just... He'd wanted some kind of acknowledgment that things were different, but it just... hadn't happened. So, they'd woken up on the island -- it felt like coming home -- but things hadn't gotten any easier. The opposite, if he really thought about it, and he'd done a decent job of ignoring it for as long as he could, but that was the problem with Tom.

Bottling things up always meant he would eventually explode.

So, there he was, stepping into the office in the Hamlet, grateful to find Paul alone.

"We need to talk."
