Mat!!
Character: Matilda 'Mat' Jamison!!!
Power Description:
Mat’s power is healing. However her ability is to cause other individuals to heal at an increased rate, which results in a complete healing of their injuries or illness, no scars or any other outward signs of injury at all. She is also able to heal scars on individuals. Her power isn’t just limited to humans; she can also heal injuries of animals. Although she has to have physical contact with the injured or sick person, to be able to heal them.
Power Limitations:
When Mat’s mutation appeared, she was and still is unable to heal her own injuries, it doesn’t matter the seriousness of the injury or the tiniest of paper cuts, it won’t heal at all. She is able to heal scars with her mutations, but again she cannot heal scars on her own body.
She is unable to bring back someone from the dead, if their heart has stopped, then she cannot heal them, however if CPR has been applied and they’re heart has begun beating again, she will be able to heal their injury. She also cannot cure illnesses caused by virus or bacteria; she guesses that is because it’s something to do with how they are made that makes them invulnerable to her mutation. She has to have physical contact with the injured or sick person, to be able to heal them. It is easier for her to heal someone if she has direct contact with the person’s wound for a least a couple of seconds; however it is not always necessary, sometimes she can just hold the hand of a person and the healing process will start, it all depends on how serious the injury or illness is.
Character Background:
Mat grew up in a large family of 7 children (including herself), she was the 3rd oldest, being born roughly a minute and a half before her identical twin Cammie. 5 out of the 7 children of the Jamison family went to Military School at the time of their Father’s death. They were all but raised by Cassidy, while their parents worked hard; mum to make ends meet and dad as a Black Ops who wasn’t around (however the nature of his work was unknown by the family.)
When Mat was 6 all of the limited contact the family had with their dad stopped completely, which in turn led her older brother Cassidy on a downward spiral, changing to someone who rebelled against the military school, wore dark make up and was drawn into crime. While she didn’t agree with everything he was doing, she looked up to her older brother and would always be on his side when it came to fights in the house.
When Cassidy left shortly after, her usual bright and bubbly attitude changed, she would no longer talk to her brothers and sisters except for Cammie. When she came home from school, she would run to his room to see if he was there, however every time he wasn’t there she would run to her room and cry for hours. After about a year she stopped this as it was causing herself too much pain and that he wasn’t coming back.
At around age 13 Mat’s mutation appeared. Walking home from school with her sister Cammie, they walked by a little boy crying on the ground. Stopping to see what the matter was, she noticed a scrape on the boy’s knee. Grabbing a bandaid out of her bag, she grabbed a piece of stone that was in the wound out and turned to open the bandaid, when she went to place the bandaid on the cut, she noticed that there was no longer a scrape or anything in the slightest to do with a cut. After that incident, Cammie became distant towards her sister, leading Mat to think that she’d done something wrong. Soon they were barely talking.
By the time she was 16 and asked to join the camp, she would have happily moved to Antarctica, which would have been warmer than the coldness she was being shown by her sister.
Personality:
Mat is generally very bright and bubbly; the emotions she puts out into the words have a tendency to bring those around her to be joyful. Many can believe that her bright and bubbly attitude towards life can be annoying, but it doesn’t really affect her if they say that to her face, she just shrugs it off.

*Clutching a picture in her hand, Mat smiled up at the driver asking him random questions, not really knowing what he was saying back to her as it was mainly in Russian. He smiled back at her through the mirror, a look on his eyes saying he wasn’t exactly happy about her presence in the car.
Looking down at the picture in her hand, a couple of tears sprang to her eyes. Wiping them away, with the back of her hand, she put the picture back in her pocket. Wrapping her arms around herself tighter, she stepped out of the car and picked up her bag walking towards the camp.*

Lying upside down on my bed, with my head over the edge. I looked at the wall across from me, thinking about the place that was going to be my new home for a while. I smiled brightly. I was definitely going to miss my family, but I couldn’t stay around Cammie for too long. Just because she was jealous of me and my ‘ability’ didn’t mean she had to be a cow to me.
Sitting up on my bed, I checked over everything in my bag, making sure I had everything I needed. Sighing, I stood up off my bed and rolled my bag to the door, walking away from my home for the last time.
