KHR 270! Let us discuss it.

Admittedly this wasn't my favorite chapter ever, but it still had its awesome points. Which were quite a bit more violent than usual, I might add. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT.

1. Okay, Kikyo is fucking hot on that cover page. It so figures he of all people would get the sexy box transformation (without the raptors, at least). Bitch.

2. Lol, even when Hibari's surprised, he somehow still looks Hibarish and unflappable. I'm sure his eyes must have widened by some imperceptible degree, because A DINOSAUR JUST POPPED UP OUT OF THE GROUND AND ATE HIS ARM. But damned if you could tell that just happened by looking at his face. THIS GUY.

3. "You can't fight them with one arm!" Oh, whoops, I thought Basil had actually met Hibari at some point prior to this. My bad.

--except for the part where he was absolutely right. D: Damn it, Hibari, you made both Basil and Ryohei make the most traumatized faces ever, and even set off Tsuna's (and Uni's) hyper-intuition like half a mile away. YOU THOUGHTLESS CAD.

And hell, the only reason I'm not traumafacing myself is because I was spoiled for this chapter. XD

4. Hmm hmm, Varia is happening. I don't generally fangirl over the Varia as much as a lot of fandom does, but I am greatly enjoying that bottom right panel where Levi and Bel are arguing over WHO GETS TO NAME THEIR STUPID DIVE. And Levi's >:[O expression (I don't know if that emoticon is clear; it's supposed to represent his shouting angrily while possessing a funny mustache) only increases the hilarity.

By the way, great job on diving right into a giant ball of tranquilizing rain flames, guys. I'm sure this won't possibly come back to bite you in the ass later.

5. As a general note, is it just me, or was this fight a little harder to follow than Amano's fight scenes usually are? I had to reread a couple pages, including this one. Part of it is IEM's cleaning job being a bit messier than usual this week, but it also didn't help that this fight has so far mainly involved a lot of blurry speedlines and closeups of different characters' faces, which isn't very helpful insofar as showing what's actually going on.

6. SIGH. Well, it's not like they could have seen that coming. OH, WAIT.

Although it is interesting that the rain flames apparently disintegrated them. THEY REALLY ARE GODMODE FLAMES, AREN'T THEY?

7. ...This is just not a good day for attractive men with anger issues. XD On the plus side, his tombstone can legitimately say "EATEN BY A T-REX", which you have to admit is off-the-freaking-wall awesome.

And for some reason the t-rex doesn't terrify me at all. It's just the raptors. I must have issues.

8. When did Kikyo rejoin Zakuro and Bluebell? DAMN THIS HARD-TO-FOLLOW CHAPTER.

9. Oh my God. Not two days out of prison and already causing nightmares lkjasdkfl. I WOULDN'T HAVE EXPECTED ANYTHING LESS FROM YOU, PINEAPPLE BASTARD. V-velociraptor-snakes with soulless Vongola heads omfg whyyyy

10. Minor political differences with his choice of mindfucking illusions aside, I have to admit, it is damn good to see him again. THE REAL HIM, I MEAN. And bantering with Fran, and can I just say how much I loved that particular back-and-forth? "You always want to stand in the middle." "What are you saying, little one? It's because your head is in the way." CONFIRMED: Being Mukuro's protege does indeed make Fran that much cooler. It actually makes Mukuro that much cooler as well.

And now I have to wonder which illusion details each of them was responsible for. DID FRAN DO ALL OF THAT VARIA BANTER, because that was a really nice touch. And I bet Mukuro was the one who had everyone eaten by dinosaurs, just because he probably thought it was funny. (IT WAS.)

And again, I'm just a little confused as to when exactly the two fight locations merged. But whatever; Mukuro's being cool and the next chapter looks promising, so it's all good.

namimori antichrist, reborn (the series), terrible things are happening, yay new chapter, yes varia there is a santa claus, how mukuro stole christmas
