[As if Raymondo's 'tache wasn't enough, he now has a lovely perm to go along with it. He's also traded in his cheap suits in favour of a turtle neck and leather jacket

[Beckett is Cagney and Lacey'd right out when she makes a quick stop at Ray's desk on the way to grab some lunch. She'll keep it short and gauge whether Ray still wants to deck her for the most recent department fiasco with Saxon.]
[Annoyed, yes, but not enough to want to deck her. Ray's quick to anger, but he's usually quick enough to cool back down. The only grudge he holds is against Saxon.
I gotta say, I was skeptical. But if he pulls through, I'll-- it'll be nice to have a big win under our belts. [She's not staring at the perm, no. Not even a little. But wow is that a freaking perm.]
[Chris might have been trying to do a bit of multitasking, searching through files and watching the Network with one eye at the same time. Which is why he was heading over to talk to Ray now, after seeing the video.]
Hey. Sylar's actually come through? I thought 'e were properly evil, y'know? Like a supervillian or somethin'. Not the sort t'actually find out stuff for you.
Yeah, he's scum all right, but 'e does seem t'be gettin' us somewhere. Might even be able t'put a stop to whatever Rip's up to before it 'appens, if we're lucky.
D'you really think so? [Chris doesn't look all that convinced. There's been this thing with Saxon and then Rip's involved with that demon-child as well, Road, the one the Police haven't been able to touch for as long as she's been here, if her file means anything.] S'pose we're closer t'somethin' than before, with a man on the inside.
[thoughtfully] I've been thinkin' about that power of his, actually, askin' tables about what they saw an' that. D'you reckon we're allowed to take in tables as witnesses?
[Ray looks irritated at Chris' expression. Maybe because he's not quite convinced of it, either.] Wouldn't say so if I wasn't, would I?
[He rolls his eyes, all set to tell him to stop being such a twonk, when he actually thinks about it.] ...I can't believe I'm about t'say this, but you might 'ave a point there. Ask Beckett, or sommat, yeah? No way I'm askin' about it.

[She is too staring. So much he can't miss it. So now he'll be looking affronted.] ...What're you lookin' at?
