[Ray still hasn't quite got the hand of this modern technology, or at least the video aspect, and it shows. It takes him a good few moments to work out he has in fact managed to turn it on properly.
He perhaps seems a little more uneasy than he would do normally, and he takes a few drags from his cigarette before saying anything, collecting his thoughts. He'd much rather be doing this face to face, but since he barely knows anything about the person he's supposed to be addressing this seems like the easiest thing. Right. So. I'm Ray Carling, and I think I'm after a bloke called Harry. About workin' on the force 'ere, like. S'pose anyone'll do, really. I've been 'ere a few days now, an' Chris said 'e'd mention me, an' that the police were needin' more people, so I reckoned it were about time I started lookin' into it.
I'm a Detective Sergeant back 'ome. Prob'ly would've been Inspector by now if some other bloke 'adn't transferred into our division first, so it's not like I 'aven't got experience... I'd say to ask my Guv about my credentials, an' that, but if 'e were 'ere I wouldn't be needin' to do this in the first place. I s'pose you could always ask Chris if you need someone t'vouch for anythin'.
