I'm sorry. I just...Well I was at work, of course, on my break, and I got a call from a boy asking if I still accepted patients, as in, who needed a psychiatrist. I said I'd be willing to help if I could, and that I wouldn't charge him...at least for now...we agreed to meet...

Then he started asking things, Erik. He...said he went to a school like mine, run by people who killed his brother because they felt he was too much to handle...

He asked things, Erik, said things...I know he doesn't know about my past but...

[Though his voice is still somewhat slow and level, it becomes increasingly pained until it almost breaks.]

I left the rest behind. There's nothing I can do to bring them here, to help them there...

David...who's going to... [It appears he cannot continue. There is silence and pained, slow, heavy breathing.]

I didn't *want* the reminder of home. Part of what I enjoy about my being sent here is it's an escape I don't have to blame on myself.

We're stuck here Charles, until I can figure something out. Which won't be happening soon, I can promise. So try not to think on troubles at home.

Is there anything I can do?
