3 years from now:
I wake up on Sunday morning and go to church. I spend the afternoon hiking up Blood Mountain. On Monday, I attend classes, do homework, putter around the house, and then spend some time after dinner writing an essay for a magazine on faith and social action. I will not get paid much but it will be widely read. On Tuesday, I receive a test back with an A+ and get my acceptance into the doctoral program at Emory. I go to work in the college chaplain's office after my choir practice at 12:30. My husband and I both get home about 5 and spend the evening watching tv together and surfing the internet.
7 years from now:
I wake up and get my 3 year old ready for preschool. After she and my husband take off for school, I sit in my office and write for several hours. I grade a few papers and I eat a healthy lunch and then do some yoga. I go to the university to teach from 2 until 5. When I get home I heat up some dinner and play with my daughter until her bedtime. After she goes to bed, I play on the internet and get ready for the next day.
