List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions along with your seven songs.
1. Matisyahu - King Without a Crown
everybody else was into this song six months ago; i just started listening to him. i listen to both versions of this song a lot, and i really just think it's amazing. i heard somebody talking about going to one of his shows in nyc and how there was a weird mix of punk/indie/whatev kids but also all these Hasidic Jews there to support him. i really love that story because it's so great that they came out to love him and cheer for him because he is their brother, even if they weren't into his music or there to get scene points.
2. The Meeting Places - On Our Own
i was watching music videos online and "the meeting places" was a cool name so i clicked on it. i laughed at how nonchalant and uninterested the singer seemed to be, but ever since that day i have had an insatiable desire to hear this song. i like listening to this album to go to sleep, and it makes me happy and calm.
3. Wolf Parade - I'll Believe in Anything
this one is fading out but i still think it's sogood. a few months ago i would listen to it overandover.
4. Mice Parade - Circle 1
lolz i never noticed i liked two "parades." i'm just now getting into mice parade and trying to download what i can find, but this was the first song i heard of theirs and i went "oooh" and played it a few more times before listening to the rest of the album. i was impressed.
5. Animal Collective - Did You See The Words?
this album has been blowing my mind for months.
6. Anathallo - Hanasakajijii (four: a great wind, more ash)
hearing this song on their website made me rush to re-listen to their newest album (which i didn't like upon first listen). anathallo does musically what i think the bible tries to do: convinces me everything is going to be ok and that God is still wants me, but that He also wants a real relationship that goes two-ways, where i don't spit in His face and then try to blame Him for making me do it. here go watch this video, i think it is spectacular:

it reminds me that there is grace and i think it paints a very real and true picture of what the Gospel is. "we are all the same people, with sinning hearts that makes us equal. here's my hand, not words said desperately. it's not our job to make anyone believe."
that was fun i thought it'd be hard to find seven songs. now tell me yours.
