Hi. My name is makena_smiles, and it's been so long since I've been on LJ it's embarrassing.
In other news: Life is good.
Miss M turned 3 in August (I know, seems like she was just born).
And since I've been gone so long, I'm not even going to paraphrase the last few months. Our big news: no more binkies in our house!! It's been a week and I think we may all survive.
In other news. Today I successfully executed a time-out (she bit me). It took two tries (which is pretty amazing), and neither of us was a sweaty, screaming, frustrated disaster by the end. There was a discussion about behavior, an apology, and we moved on with the day. I'm almost afraid there will be some other catastrophe later to balance out how smoothly that went.
