If you want something broken, mutilated, destroyed: Ship it UPS. They will take care of ruining it for you, apologize "sincerely", and then they will deny your claim saying it's packed insufficiently. Even if it's in the original packaging. Even if you put it in a steel chamber with three feet of high impact insulation, they will drop it out of an airplane, run over it, then deliver it. What a bunch of wankers. My loathing for UPS began a few years ago and over time has simply been reinforced. A situation at work served as another reminder of why I think UPS lives up to BROWN. What a bunch of a-holes.
I just had a thought. I bet UPS employees get their training as baggage handlers at airports. There they learn how to handle packages with a minimum of care and respect. Once they master destroying luggage they're let loose on the general public delivering broken, smashed, wet packages to people across the country.
And don't even get me started on what it takes to reach a real live person at UPS. I'm sure they just assume people will get so fed up with the electronic run-around they'll give up and buy a replacement for whatever it is UPS destroyed. It's people like me who are determined pains in their ass who upon finally getting a real person don't get anything but a worthless apology and a lame ass explanation about packaging. In short, I think UPS stinks. Like BROWN.
