I must say that I am in love with the new Mars Volta. I cant stop listening to it. Just devine. They are making some of the best rock music today. They are actually being experimental. And in the good sense. Like zeppelin. Or the doors. They are making rock like it used to be made. It sounds like some big, palavaring, drug addled, maelstrom of sound. It rocked you so hard, that you were everywhere but where you were that moment. You could step off on their guitar solo, and walk its sensual path for hours.
Not enough bands these days can Jam. Let me just say that. What the fuck is with so much cookie cutter BS. Let me hear something inovative. Even if it is influenced heavily upon by others sounds, fuck it. At least your making something. At least your expressing yourself artisticaly.
Segwaying me to my next point. I dont see how people, all people, cant just stop, and take the time to make some art. Whether it be, visual, audible, or whatever. Take the time to do it. Im begging you people. Stop watching so much fucking TV. They just want to scare you. Read a damn book. Pick up a magazine. Go take a picture of something. Go run somewhere. Go make a song. Go paint on something. Do whatever you do, but PLEASE, please, please for the love of God. I dont know if Im saying peel yourself away from the idiot box, or if Im saying that art is really important. They are both my points I guess. Both valid, I wish both would be take more seriously by the masses.
