Gundam SEED/Destiny[character]: Mwu la Flaga
[character history / background]:
Oh wiki, dear old friend.
[character abilities]:
Easy this time, rite? [character personality]: Mwu is, all in all, a pretty likeable guy. He jokes around with everyone, is sociable, and you can usually find him with a smile on his face. He lets things roll off his back, but that doesn't mean that he can't be serious. He's the man that can make the impossible possible, even if it means sacrificing himself to stop an anti-fortress beam from destroying the ship with all his friends and lover onboard. "An anti-fortress beam can't touch me, for I'm not a fortress."
Heroism aside, he's got his fair share of ego, and jokingly flaunts his enhanced skills with a smirk. For a Natural, his abilities are definitely the cream of the crop, and he isn't afraid to let you know so.
He's affectionate towards those that grow on him-- most of the kids that joined alongside Kira as well as Kira himself, for example. He shows a father-like affection for youngsters and is shown multiple times, giving Kira advice and ruffling his hair, commending him on a job well done.
Towards the end of Gundam SEED, he's thought to be dead after he stops the anti-fortress beam and his gundam explodes, but it's shown to be otherwise in Gundam SEED Destiny when he appears as Neo Roanoke in the Earth Forces, having forgotten who he was before. He fights on the opposite side until he's felled in battle, and the Archangel takes him aboard and cares for his wounds. He begins to remember faint traces of his previous life, most in connection with Murrue, the captain, and his previous lover. At the end of Destiny, he sacrifices himself once more to save the ship, and fully remembers who he was, surviving without a scratch due to his new gundam's reflective armor. He returns to his old personality as well, carrying no traces of Neo Roanoke.
[point in timeline you're picking your character from]: End of Gundam SEED Destiny~ He's remembered who he really is and will, with permission, bring his gargantuan golden gundamu with him. ♥

[VOICE TRANSMISSION ]
--ah... eh? Oh man, when did I fall asleep...?
Did the autopilot system turn on? It was only a practice run--
...Oh my. Where the heck is this? Geez. I really did it this time. I've made the impossible possible once again, and now we're stuck in some strange place..... and the Archangel's nowhere in sight.
[ A long series of clicks and taps as he types, blips and beeps sounding as the OS runs through his commands ]
C'mon girl, we've been through worse than this. Pick up a signal, would ya?
[ Beep ... beep ... beep ]
.......Is that the Strike Freed--

[third person / log sample]:
It'd been long. Too long. The pilot walked over the threshold of the sliding glass doors and leaned on the veranda railing, arms crossed before him and blue eyes reflecting the passionate hues of the sunset. The sun was but a crescent on the horizon, light sparkling off the ocean that seemed too tired to stir up any more waves, while the sky was all bands of citrus orange, hot pink, and fiery red, before it bled into a dusky shade of blue above his head.
He'd had another memory lapse on his dinner date with Murrue, and blanked for a good few minutes before he could remember the Archangel's pilot's name. Arnold. He was Arnold Neumann, and an old friend of them both. Mwu couldn't say it didn't upset him, because it did. It upset him more than it really should've, sometimes, even though he knew he wasn't to blame. ZAFT had done something to his mind, that he also knew, but he'd managed to overcome his memory loss and remembered most of what he previously knew-- the mind worked in funny ways like that.
Forgetting his friends, what little family he had, his acquaintances, names of things-- that was what hurt him the most. It came to him after a while, it always did. But he felt weak. How could he forget the people so dear to him? Things drilled into his head all those years in military training? His body had remembered what his mind had not, really-- how to pilot a mobile suit, how to fly a fighter jet, the basic order as he put on his uniform, the feel of her, but that couldn't help him to remember the rest.
It'd been months since then. The doctor had said it might take a while until things were all back in order, but Mwu wasn't a very patient man when it came to himself. At thirty years old, he just wanted to go back to how he always had been previously. Time didn't reverse itself on the whims of one man, though, and he knew.
He knew, but it made him no less anxious for the day to come where he wouldn't forget someone's face, their voice, their personality, their name. And until then, he'd continue to fight to remember, because... wasn't that the least he could do? Remember those who have fallen, those who sacrificed themselves to bring peace to their countries, their families, their worlds? Remember them and honor them, and that was all he could do for them.
Until then, though, he'd continue to take note of what he did remember, write it down somewhere permanent to look back on, and continue to teach the young hopefuls how to fly, and how to grasp their own dreams with their own abilities. He'd missed California, and that flight instructor position had always been open to him. Plus, the condo that was arranged for him had a great view of the bay.
Mwu still remembered how to look at the bright side of life, as well.
