My best friend for the last week
I find it a little ironic that when I finally hype myself up to start doing that which I longed for (stating to the world that I would do a weekly practice of reflecting on my week and publishing it in this corner of the Internet, which is my home), something would happen that would force my hand to... not do it.
But alas, such is life, and without really expecting it, I found myself feeling too ill last Sunday to sit down and do my weekly reflection.
"Darn" I though "well... this is just a little stumble in my path, surely next Sunday I will be okay, and I'll be able to write about the last two weeks and all the epic things that happened."
But... uhm... it's Sunday again. And even tho I just woke up from a 2 hour nap, I can't say I feel perfectly fine. Actually, I would state the opposite. I do not feel okay. I feel sick. My throat aches, my head spins, I feel groggy, tired, and upset.
When I started feeling sick a week ago, I thought I would be well within a day or two.
But I was wrong.
So even though I do not have the energy to tackle a long post reflecting on the last two weeks (Good luck, future Monse, covering 3 weeks in one go next Sunday lmao) I wanted to write a short reflection about Health.
Health is a gift.
Health is something we should never ever take for granted.
Health gives you freedom.
Freedom you don't realize how precious it is until you no longer have it.
So, if I can share anything with you, dear reader, it is to take care of yourself.
Sleep well. Drink water. Have some Vitamin C.
Do not take health for granted.
Be grateful for every day you get where you don't feel sick.
Sincerely,
M
