i closed my eyes. almost at once a dream leaped onto me: a grey field under a thundery sky, cactus-like plants moaning and swaying, skeletal people collapsing with their black tongues hanging out, and then myself involved- with some slender male form that shut out the scene. loud laughter broke out and i awoke fighting.
