It was great to be at this venue again, since the closing of Studio 69. And it didn't look all that different from when Elle and I attended the FM 102 retro nights there so long ago. Although Mani didn't show, it was an enjoyable night. The replacement DJ, supposedly from The Hacienda, was decent. In fact when I flashed my 808 State shirt at him he played Pacific for me. Classic. Peter autographed my copy of Technique and posed for photos with
Darq Angel and myself.
Lazarus and I had a friendly argument over whether Peter was a good DJ or not.
He argued that he was not terribly skilled and didn't do anything outstanding.
I argued that he pleased the crowd and fulfilled his role as an entertainer.
