Back from my trip...

I am back from my very first business trip. After getting a good night's sleep, I am feeling a little more refreshed and definitely more fixated on bicycle and pedestrian mobility than I have ever been before. I really feel like I am living my dreams with this job, and feel so lucky and grateful that I get to do what I love.

Today, I turn in my graduation paperwork. December will be coming soon enough. I also went to my first class last night in urban design, which has the potential to be very interesting. We will have a real world class project completed by semester's end (of a study area of 2-3 blocks x 2-3 blocks) and each student will be responsible for one particular issue that needs addressing within the project. Although I am a little intimidated by the drawing aspect of the course, I am really excited to see how this project comes together. I have my first capstone class tonight, which will bring together all of the course issues we have studied in the program. I am anxious to understand the requirements and expectations as I have the feeling that the project will be pretty intense and involve a lot of my time.

Next week I have my trip to New Orleans, and the following week is a conference that I am volunteering at. Things are again moving at a rapid pace, and if I weren't so excited I would be exhausted.

And one more thing: I got a brand new crock pot and a really great Williams-Sonoma slow-cooker cookbook from my mom for my birthday. Because I have been away from home for a while, I haven't had a chance to use it. However, I am sure I will be updating soon about all of the interesting things I have concocted with this new toy.
