"Big" Time
My 30th birthday is coming up in August, and I have decided to celebrate it by going skydiving. It's something I've wanted to do for a while, and my 30th is a good excuse for it. Two others have committed to going with me, and I have left the invitation open to anyone interested. It would really be nice to at least have one more person, since that brings the price down, but it doesn't ultimately matter.
What does matter is confronting fears, facing them head on, and trying to live as fully as possible. Given a number of locations, we decided upon Cape Canaveral for 2 main reasons:
(1) The view of the Space Coast is amazing
(2) A friend used them, and had a really positive experience

I also just booked my ticket for New Orleans for Labor Day weekend. My brother and his family recently moved there and bought a house, and my mom and I decided that Labor Day was a great time to check out his new digs. I am also really excited to check out New Orleans again. Although I was born there and spent the early part of my childhood in New Orleans, there is a whole realm of experiences I haven't had yet. I was only 14 years old the last time I visited the city, so I am definitely looking forward to finally having a drink in the Quarter. The rest will be "lagniappe", as my mom would say.
That's all the fun stuff...
Now I have a Literature Review to work on that is due this week, a website to finalize, and lots of reading on transportation planning. I really love my life right now.
