But I'm a Cheerleader!
I purchased a cheerleader costume for Halloween. I did this for a couple of reasons. First, because it was on sale and super cheap. Second, because there seemed to be a world of possibilities for the title of my costume. After dreaming up a dozen varieties of dead cheerleader (e.g. lynched cheerleader, suicidal cheerleader, bulimic cheerleader), I'm down to two options that I really like. They are:
1. "Head" Cheerleader - This means I'd have to find a severed head that I can at least make look like a former cheerleader. And, I don't know, maybe a bloody hatchet.
OR
2. "Patriot" - Okay, it's a little abstract. But... "U.S.A." is printed on my cheerleader top already, and I could easily pick up a toy machine gun. And some easy to find stickers could complete the look.
Ultimately, it is a question of whether I want to be scary or surly for Halloween. Both have some merit.
