I think it mostly had to do with the last challenge on boyfriends_fic. Lots of people got their toes stepped on and it was kind of dealt with in not such a good way on both sides.

Like... Okay, so it was called the "Free For All," and there WEREN'T any rules, but then I guess the mods got frustrated because the same 4 or 5 people were answering a lot of the prompts, so they posted about it in maybe not the nicest or most subtle of ways.

And I think they may have deleted posts, which, you know, is kind of rude. There was a big backlash from the people who WERE posting a lot, and...UGH

I wasn't involved on either side, but there was a lot of anger and frustration on both sides and it kind of felt like fandom was FALLING APART for a few days and it was SO SAD.

But it's pretty much blown over by now, so I guess you avoided the worst of it. Haha
