Nick usually gauges how stressful or tiring his days are based on how many times his mom or Joe (usually Joe) forces a bottle of orange juice or a juice box into his hands, making him “sit down and drink the entire thing” before allowing him to do anything else. This was amazing-ness and is totally going to give me sweet Joe/Nick dreams tonight ; )
I loved so many things about this. You wrote exhausted boys so very well! They were adorable. I loved how Nick dropped his t-shirt on the floor of the bus, only to have Joe follow. I LOVED how joe just climbed up into Nick's bed completely uninvited and Nick let him.
"He feels Joe’s arm wrapping around his waist securely, pulling him closer and allowing their legs to tangle in a jumble under the blankets." I just love how intertwined they are - and then I remember they are both shirtless and I love it even more. I love how you had Joe smelling like soap form his shower and Nick tangling his fingers in Joe's wet hair.
And then Mama Jonas finding them in the morning all amused. Too funny! I love how she didn't find it too out of sorts.
"It was just really comforting. And warm. And a lot like what he imagines valium feels like." Aww! I loved that description.
"Nick feels Joseph’s arm sliding slowly off his shoulders, feels the way that his brother’s fingers push lightly at the back of his neck as his hand passes over" Gah, loved that gesture!
In case I didn't make myself clear above, I looooovvvvvveed and adored this!
