I knew it would get here eventually but I refuse to embrace it now that it has arrived. I’m surprised I didn’t make any journal entries over the weekend as I didn’t keep all that busy.
Friday was very good but I couldn’t keep up the good momentum. I went for a walk of over two hours in Annapolis despite the cold. Besides walking in a park called Quiet Waters (I think) I also walked up and down Main Street. After going trough the parking area and not finding a parking spot I thought I wouldn’t be walking there. Then as I almost was leaving one opened by Starbucks so I took it.
There was a huge fire in the area after I left Annapolis. It made the DC news. Three historic buildings were seriously burned. I saw “Walk the Line” around 5 and stopped for a cup of coffee when I finished so I was probably headed out of town when the fire was blazing.
Saturday and Sunday were
kind of dead. Did I even get out of the house on Saturday? Perhaps in the evening to pick up a video. I have two rainchecks for “War of the Worlds” and one for “Polar Express”. I saw “Polar Express” in the theatre last year and didn’t care for it that much but David wanted to see it. Since it will be free, no big deal.
I did do some food shopping at Costco Sunday morning. Wow, incredibly long lines. I think at this time I’ll start counting how many days until the stores are much nicer to go to. Everyone is in the stores in December then in January the fitness clubs have their most crowded times.
This Sunday will be the first of only three Sundays in December and for the past - oh - ten years I’ve been meaning to make the trip to NYC and do some seasonal walking. I’m not yet certain this will be the year.
