Let's see.. I have been strangely addicted to my online game Guild Wars and all human functions besides have been shafted... until recently. Thursday night I got a phone call from one of my friends here, Sara, who I've only seen once this year. When I found out that she gets plastered every weekend at her boyfriends house.. I felt bad cause no one does that stuff w/ me.. so I told Ryan to go out and get some booze.. and then I watched Alias and got so drunk I hardly remember it. It was pretty bad.
Friday I felt like poo all day because of it.. I really should learn my lesson sooner or later. And I should also get over my jealousy problems, but hell that'll never happen. Friday I basically sat on my ass playing GW all day and then at night I went to the Asian Cinema club cause they were showing Battle Royale. GOOD FRIGGIN MOVIE. I liked it. I may have to watch it again sometime. I'm sure someone has heard of it before. It may sound gruesome but its a good movie with a good message. Its all about some act that was passed in Japan where the adults were pissed at the kids so they made this thing called the BR Act (Battle Royale Act). Every year a random highschool class was picked out of a lottery and sent to a deserted island where they then had to fight for survival... AKA kill eachother. The only way off the island was to make sure all of your other classmates were dead. Each student is given a survival pack with a weapon and some food and then they have three days to kill each other otherwise the necklaces they had put on would detonate killing everyone. Its interesting to see how some of the kids resist the game and how others fight for survival, and its also interesting cause their normal kids at the same time. They have crushes and best friends and stuff like that. Bah, I think I'm starting to rave to much about the movie.. I just think everyone should give it a try (its not that gorey, honestly). Anyways,
Saturday I basically did nothing again and at night I went to the Ben Folds concert. I had never heard his stuff before but since SCAD was presenting it the tickets were only $25 so I figured it would be an interesting night. Especially since I have no friends at school and I basically just sit around all day. The concert was really fun and I liked it a lot. Ben Folds may not be my number one artist or anything but his music was good and he was a pretty funny guy. All in all, I had a great time.
Now on to Sunday, the day that paid for all my slacking. I spent at least 12 hours working on my self portrait, I haven't even started an outline to my paper (which was due three days ago), and I have no idea when my next shots for VSFX class are due. Ahh super stressed!!! Oh well, I'm gonna go keep working.. someday I'll finish.. and hopefully soon cause I'm going home on Thursday!
