It's been a busy week...

I feel like I've been gone forever! Actually, it's only been a few days since my last post. Isn't internet time funny?

I've been getting up at 5 AM to be at the bus by 6 AM, which sucks. I got lost on the first day, and a really odd guy named Vito, who looks like Harvey Whats-His-Name, the big gay guy who does Hairspray on Broadway, but his actually an Australian aborigonee, helped me find my way. He's the new LSO at club Risque, but I won't be able to get in since I can't visit any Bally's/Paris clubs or bars. Anyway, we found the place with a few min. to spare and went into class. Wasn't too interesting, just the whole sexual harrasment thing and the stuff on how to recognize a problem gambler. That sort of stuff. I'll get more detailed info. when I start my call center orientation. Lunch in the staff cafeteria was great the first day too. Delicious.

Second day it was harder to get up. It's still dark when I leave the house, and it's even a little harder since I'm on Fremont Street (locals on my FList will understand), but the really tough part was just staying awake that day *LOL* Tuesday was our walking tour, and my feet were killing me by the end of the day. They had a nice surprise for us though, they treated us all to the buffet at Paris. It was awesome. Totally tastey. Bad thing was, after our walk we met with our future supervisors. They told me and the other Gen. Res. people that our call center orientation won't start until the 29 th. Hell, if I'd known that, I would have spent a few more weeks working security. Oh well, gives me time to explore.

By Tuesday night I knew that I had a cold. I think it's from being so cold in class. I'm all snuffy today. Sucks. I had today off, so the brother and I went to the outlet mall. I was suposed to be looking for work clothes, but I found two cute shirts, one that has a monkey on it and says "I'd be good if I could. But I can't. So I won't." and the other has tootsie pops on it and says "Lick 'em, don't bite." I couldn't resist. Besides, I got them 2 for $10. Still don't feel well, but it was a good way to spend the afternoon.

Now I'm getting ready to do a late night run to WalMart for some grocery shopping. I'm back to getting up early tomorrow, as I have two more days of orientation, so I'll have to turn in when we get home.

shopping, life, orientation, work
