I'm half way through...

Half way through my work week. Yay! Shift bids come up next week, and I'm not too thrilled with the options, but that's a whole different rant that I'll save for next week (when I'm really worked up *LOL*) We've been majorly busy for the past few weeks, but since we don't have enough employees (and certainly won't after the next bid) to staff our call center it's been rough. Although, I did get a really plesant guest today that put a smile on my face. He was just so odd, and upbeat, and pleasant to talk to. Plus, like wow. If half of what he said is true then at forty-something he decided to go back to school, graduated with honors, and is now a nurse who loves his job. And he speaks four languages. I'm jealous. Plus, the way he talked about his wife. Wow. They've been married 13 years and I've heard newlyweds who don't talk that highly about thier mates. It was sweet really. Plus, I always like the guests who want to talke to my supervisors after a call because they thought I was great. It's an ego booster.

I'm in pain though, no matter if work went well or not. I was supposed to meet with a loan officer (my 'rents and I are looking into buying a house) a few days ago and my brother was supposed to take us and pick us up. Well, he had to go somewhere else and we (Mom and me) ended up walking to the bus stop. But, since the weather has been so pleasant lately I suggested we walk for a bit. We had lunch, and ice cream, and went to some stores. Then I realized we'd been walking, on and off, for 1 1/2 hours! Now, for those of you who've never seen me I'm a red head with German and British heritage. I'm so white I practically glow in the dark. And I didn't put on sunscreen because I was supposed to be in the car for 15 min either way and I didn't want to feel greesy. So, almost two hours of non stop sun exposure with no protection. I'm red as a lobster! And sore. Ouch!

But, in another yay moment, aside from walking form the bus stop in some great (re: cool-ish) weather I got home in time to watch "Harper's Island". Anyone else watching this show? I've got no idea who the killer is (I think it's Henry, the groom, but that's just because I'm the suspicious sort) but it's fun to watch everyone get picked off each week *LOL*

Oh, and I've started watching "Heroes". Finally. I missed the first few episodes back when it started and didn't want to get confused so I never gave it a try. Then I decided to download it the other day. Wow! I'm addicted. I know that all the sci-fi mags say that it goes downhill after the first season, but I don't really care right now. I finished the first nine episodes last weekend, and I'm going to give myself another marathon on my weekend (Tue/Wed/Thur) so yay! Any other fans on my FList? (I'm almost sure that at least one of you are, I just can't remember who.)
