Vacation, day five: family bonding.
Nothing too exciting today, but since I've made a post for all of my other vacation days I figured I might as well keep it up.
Watched horror films til five this morning, then I drank a bit and finally fell asleep about six. Woke up before noon. Damn, but I was having a nice dream, so waking up was not all that great *LOL* Re-burned TW 2.10-13 and then headed over to Mom and Dad's.
Dad was asleep when I got there (he sleeps more than he's up, has for the past few years, nothing new there) but when we turned on TW he got up. He pretended to be grumpy and acted like he was being nice letting us watch TW, but when I went and said something to Mom durring 2.10 he's like "Hey, you've seen this one. Hush!" and when we mentioned turning it off when 2.11 was done he wouldn't hear of it *LOL* Mom thinks I've gotten him more hooked than her. Kudos for me though, I only sniffled a bit when we watched 2.13. Mom cried, but it was the fourth or fifth time I've seen it, so I didn't need a whole box of tissues this time. Now they both want to know when to expect season three.
Beautiful night. I wish we could have weather like this all the time. I really enjoyed the walk home.
I tried getting some writing done tonight. I started on my newest fairy tale, since I'm feeling a little bit of writer's block with "Second Sight", which is a retelling (slash style, of course) of "The Little Mermaid". I'll share when I've got some of it done.
On a final note, has anyone else seen "2001 Maniacs" with Robert Englund? That movie is pure crack! I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time. (Even if it was a horror film.) If you get a chance, watch it.
