Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who sent me get well wishes. My ankle is feeling a bit better, I can put my weight on it, even if that doesn't feel too good. I'm getting around on a cane, but I don't wince every time I move my foot anymore. It's purple from bruising, but I think I'll make it. I just can't walk to work anymore til it heals. Now, if I could just stop puking I'd be all better. I forgot that I can't take the white pain pills that my dad has, only the pink ones, so although they made me feel better yesterday I've been sick all day today because of them. I just had some rice though, and it seems to be staying down, so I think everything will be better by morning.
And, on another note, I have to say thanks to all of you on my FList who have turned me on to "Torchwood". I just finished episode one, and I thought it was a lot of fun. I'm downloading the first season (I know, I'm going to hell for illegal downloads) right now. But I have a question for the other fans: am I the only one who thinks that Captain Jack looks like a really young Tom Cruise, or maybe an even younger Mark Harmon? Or maybe it's just me.
Shame about Heath Ledger. I've really enjoyed his work over the years. I'm still looking forward to the new Batman movie though. Weird last role though. Makes me think of Brandon Lee and "The Crow" for some reason. Dark final films/roles, and all that, you know?
Also, I got my issue of "X-men" #207 today. Squeee! I knew that Remy wasn't a villian! And, in case you guys didn't know (I know I've got a couple of other X-men/Gambit fans on my FList) the "X-men" title is discontinued and is being changed to "X-men: Legacy". According to the official release it will follow Prof. X, Magneto, Rogue, and Gambit. But how they're following the Prof. when he looked pretty dead to me at the end of this issue is beyond me. Then again, he's died before, right? Most of the team has. It's how comics work. I'm just happy to have Gambit back in the main storylines again. Plus, I'm also looking forward to the new "X-force" title. Logan's in charge of a team that doesn't have to play by the goodie-goodie rules? Awesome! There goes more of my money. I swear, I had a lot more cash back before I got into Japanese manga and back into American comics.
Off to get some rest now. I have to work tomorrow. At least I got the first off though. Had to ask for it more than once, but they finally okayed me. I have to sign my lease and do all of my moving that day, so I just couldn't go to work in the middle of the day too. I'd probably have more fun at work though *LOL*
Oh, and for those of you following my trials here at Deer Creek Apartments... hot water and cable are out again. Have been since about noon. I'm so glad that I'll be out of here soon.
And, lastly, before I go, I've got an announcement. Since I'm moving/cleaning house/starting a new chapter at home, I've decided to clean house here too. There are several journals on my FList that aren't updated any more, people on my FList who never comment on my entries anymore, people who I don't comment on, and people who I no longer have anyting in common with. I'll be doing a cut before the first of the month. If you think you're in danger of being cut (some of you know that I'd never cut you) and you want to stay then comment on this entry and let me know that you don't want to be cut. 'Kay?
