How is Alfred supposed to practice if he doesn't hit bludgers at people?
Learning how to dodge them is important.

He could have non-living targets made up for the beaters. It's not as though we're all that limited by conventional means.

Well, then it's not as realistic. They do it in real games, so why not practice?
