Well, that didn't take long. Papa's already been told he can never come back into the electronics store because he wouldn't stop flirting with the employees.

I'm not really bothered by that, though. He was more of a nuisance than anything while I was looking at computers.

→ Lauren, → Black☆Star, → Kim, → Kid, → Sid, → Tsubaki, → Gamzee, ☹ papa did something dumb

You're getting one of those muggle box screens, Maka?

...Box screens?

Yes. A fellow Ravenclaw explained computers to me a few years ago. She said it was a box with a screen on it which was attached to a board with keys. I can only presume that this box has keyholes in it for the keys to fit in which is used to operate the box.

Apparently they are used to enter writing, send owls to each other- Perhaps the owl resides in the box screen until a letter is sent? Although that does not sound entirely humane if keys are being used to turn it on. -and deposit lewd photographs.

[...WHY. HOW DOES HE LEAVE THE HOUSE WITH TROUSERS ON EVERY DAY.]

You're so wrong it's just sad.

No, muggles don't owl each other through a computer. Muggles don't need owls for that! That's called email.

And the keys are--haven't you ever seen a typewriter before? Ever? That's what a keyboard is like.

The cable is one of the ways muggles connect to the internet, which is a network that puts them into contact with others--emailing, sending instant messages and places specifically designed for communication.

...And the lewd photographs? That's probably pornography. That's one of the things you can search for on the internet, it's kind of like an encyclopaedia that you don't flip through.

Does the addition of the letter "e" make it so that owls aren't required? Does "e" stand for "express"?

[Oh! Maybe...!]

Ah, so by adding an "e"...it is like the interdepartmental memos at the Ministry. Fascinating. How muggles manage to send expedient letters to each other without the use of magic is quite impressive.

...I have seen a typewriter before, yes. But I'm still unclear about where the keys are entered. Perhaps in those square boxes?

If you don't mind me asking, is this an approximately to-scale illustration? A muggle tower seems rather...small for a tower. And precisely what does it monitor? The express mails?

[.....More lost, but still trying, rly]I'm not certain whether I follow. So this network is the muggle version of magic? Allowing the express mails to be drawn to the...screen.
