If we're to believe the ramblings of a handful of people so far, those of us that woke up in the wrong beds with the wrong clothes were originally the opposite sex.

...I can't believe that. It sounds like rubbish to me. How do we know they're not the ones that are switched ( Read more... )

When you apply the logic to it, it makes more sense. Diary logs that refer to oneself as female is more solid evidence and makes more sense than the house elves switching everyone's clothing.

But what sort of spell even exists that would make people think they're the opposite sex? I've never heard of that before.

...It's Hogwarts. Which, from what I understand, is filled to the mortar with magic that has its own will.

It's never done this before. From what I understand, when sexes are changed people don't often believe that they're the opposite sex.

They just faff about worrying over their new parts.

I think it's already been established that the castle has no boundaries.

I don't think it--whatever it is--is a thing caused by the castle. It may be full of magic, but the alteration of someone's thoughts on that level is a pretty big deal. This isn't some "oh I'm suddenly happy even though I'm a sod the rest of the time" sort of thing, this is literally a "my whole gender identity has changed overnight" thing. No matter who actually changed, you have to admit this is too far out of line for a castle-caused occurrence.

[Oh. He rambled.]

...Sorry, I'm getting off track. Who am I talking to?

Who else would you suspect, then?

...

Ms. Erde [That was weird to say] called me Darian. But for now we'll just stick to Daria Morgendorffer.

That's what I'd like to figure out. Once I've got an idea, I'll tell you.

Um.

Daria. Hi, I'm Mako.

...Or maybe I'm Maka. I don't know.

I know you as Maka. But for the sake of not making you uncomfortable, I'll go with Mako.

[Daria being considerate? Gasp.]

Thank you. To be honest, I'm feeling a bit doubtful right now, but I really can't imagine myself as a girl.

Well, in a week or so we'll all have learned something about ourselves that we can carry with us for the rest of our lives.
