Characters: Leader, Temari, any available Akatsuki
Setting: A generic meeting room within the castle.
Summary: In order to come look for Gaara, Temari has traveled to Konoha on the pretense of reviewing and rewriting the Neutrality Treaty, and meets with Leader in order to do so.
Note: Any available Akatsuki are welcome to come put in their two cents, poke Tema repeatedly, etc. but it's not necessary in any way, shape, or form.

To his Majesty, the Honorable Leader of Konoha...

That's how Temari had addressed the letter, and now she was staring down the table at him.
It has been brought to my attention that our Neutrality Treaty has been breached several times as of late, and I feel that it would be mutually beneficial if I payed your wonderful country a visit so that we may revise this treaty into something more favorable to the current situation.

If she didn't know any better, she'd say this was the same room they'd been in so long ago. (had it really been that long? Five years, she mentally calculated.) It certainly looked the same, but this time, she was a bit more preoccupied. Never the less, she was focused on the task at hand.
I eagerly await your reply. Cordially, Temari of Suna.

Oh how she hated the formality she had extended, the credit she gave him when he deserved none. She wanted to spit, cuss, sneer, punch him right in the face.

But it was generally agreed upon that an alliance would be the best thing for Suna. Better than getting on Akatsuki's bad side, that was for certain.

"I won't tarry," she stated curtly. "You know why I am here. I'm sure you are aware that our interactions have been bordering on an alliance lately, and so I thought it might be appropriate to simply put it on paper and be done with it."

Everyone knew what "alliance" really meant. It was just an easier way of saying that Suna would do whatever Konoha asked of them, and hope to keep in Konoha's good favor in the process.

"I'm curious to hear your say on the matter, however."
