Welcome to the Middle Class!
So for those of you I've complained to this about, I've been up for a full time job at Medical Security Program, where I currently work as a temp. I applied for this job in July, and was just told on Thursday that it might be several more months until I hear anything. I've been a temp here for over a year, and was feeling extremely frustrated with my situation.
But, today, I just found out I got the job!! It pays TWICE what I had been making. So now I'm making ACTUAL money.
I'm so excited. I'm going shopping this weekend for some things I've been wanting/needing but haven't been able to afford. I'll probably also be able to open up a savings account, which I haven't had any need for in two years.
This is certainly not my dream job. In fact the job itself is horrible. But if I save up I'll have the money to be better able to achieve better career goals. And hey, if I can't get the type of work I want, I might as well be getting paid crazy good for it.
