My bedside lamp stopped working last night. Unlike the wooden lamp I brought from Australia, I had no emotional attachment to the bedside lamp, so I ordered a new one which was delivered today and seems to work just fine. (I still haven't figured out what to do about the wooden one, but I am definitely not ready to throw it away. It can be decorative even if it's not working.)
I didn't go to parkrun today even though the weather was quite nice for running (sunny and 50°F/10°C). Instead I walked to Safeway to buy some groceries and then used the exercise bike when I got back. I just felt completely unmotivated about parkrun. Even though I was the one who got us into it, it was something I shared with S.
The handyman is supposed to come today between midday and 3 pm. It's almost 2 pm and he still hasn't arrived. I really resent having to waste a Saturday afternoon waiting for him to turn up.
