Admittedly a little disappointed to be voted off the island so close to the finale...especially by such a major landslide. Now I know how Goldwater, McGovern and Mondale felt.
But oh, well. Gives me more time for Script Frenzy. (And I need it ;p)

Well, I'm interested to see my feedback. The last few times, virtually every "least well written" had nothing on which to base future writing. I have complained vociferously to the mod that "several grammatical errors" not backed up with examples does *nothing* to help the writer improve. (And it's an easy out for justifying your vote if you are lazy.) Every "least" vote I've ever given has been documented up the wahzoo with examples and sometimes even suggestions. I may have been wrong in a few cases (messed up the rule myself as I later learned) but at least I put it in there so they could check it out.
Considering they had to say at least *something*, it's more feedback than I usually get just posting fic on my own journal. I used to have a regular following and get at least 5-10 comments when I posted links to Yahoo lists (probably because it had a greater membership than my flist, I guess).
My tastes/opinions have often differed from the majority in both this community and the originalfic_las group, too, but once you get down to the last half dozen it gets hard to choose and often difficult to identify justification for a negative vote.
Participating in the communities has ensured I was writing at least *something* about every 2 weeks, which is a good thing. Don't know if I'll do it again or not, but it was good for that at least.
Thank you for the encouragement.
