I went to the Walmart today, which (no offense) hires a lot of "challenged folk". When I reached the exit, the gate alarm went off because I tend to use the automated cashier stations rather than deal with their trained professionals. The automated thing does not have a pad to disable the security strips they place in more expensive items - so, of course, the sentinel at the door wanted to inspect my purchases and receipt.

Once this formality had been attended to, I headed back to the exit and (now here's a surprise) the alarm went off again.

They asked to see my receipt.
