Spring FTX Mother Fuckers!!!
I am sooo freaking pumped for friday. At approximately 1100 i am going to board a helicopter bound for Ft. Devens, Massachussetts. This weekend is the spring FTX. not only will we get to sleep under the stars in quality army tents, but we'll also go to the armory and get issued live M-16's for the weekend. HOW FUCKING SICK IS THAT!!! We're gonna spend most of friday doing a 4-5 mile ruck march, followed by team building exercises (really cool obstacle courses). Then we'll practice the basics of marksmanship using blanks. Saturday will be squad tactic exercises and then Sunday we get to go to the range and fire live rounds. Not only will we be firing the M-16, but we'll also be using the M-203 grenade launcher and possibly an M-249 as well. I am fucking pumped out of my mind. because honestly, ROTC is the only reason that i want to stay at school, if it wasn't for ROTC i'd have probably already enlisted.
