Thanks. Got a call on Tuesday from an agency I'd replied to regarding a part-time temp job they'd advertised on CareerBuilder. The guy said that based on my resume he thought I'd be a better fit for a full-time job that has the possibility of going perm. So I had an interview with him at the agency today, he said I should know something back by Tuesday.
The PT position is always an option, too...altho the hours are a bitch, third shift, but it only be midnite to 8am Saturday and midnite to 8am Sunday doing straight data entry, no taking calls, and they'd pay $15/hour. For that rate I'll suffer 3rd shift two nights a week for 3 to 4 months!
Then when I got back from today's interview I had a message on my phone from another headhunter who'd seen my resume online, she said it is for a CSR position in a town that's right next to the town I might be moving to, and has flexible hours starting at 7am and ending at 8am. She said if I was interested she'd send my resume immediately to the client, and if the client likes what they see I could possibly start this Monday!
Again it's only a temp position (no possibility of going perm), and doesn't pay quite as well as the one I interviewed for today...but I'd rather have multiple irons in the fire, and perhaps the luxury of turning down an offer because I get multiple ones!
