Mao&Temari
Temari's House; 304 Shiro Road [Residential Area 1]
Rated R for a porn video/quick self service
"Oh my poor baby," Temari's mother sighed as she brushed his bangs out of his face and handed him his medicine. "How did you get so sick all of a sudden..."
The boy just shrugged as he took his medicine and pulled his mask back over his face. He didn't want to tell his mother that he had been running around outside and not eating properly the last few days. He didn't want to worry his parents even more.
His mother smiled at him before giving him a kiss on his forehead. "I have to go work a few hours but there's some food in the fridge if you want to heat it up. Try and eat something alright dear?" The boy nodded his head and waved goodbye to his mother signaling that she needed to start heading towards the door. She looked at her watch and waved back before quickly leaving the room and heading out of the house. The boy just sat there in his room and listened as his mother pulled out the drive way and off to work to pay off part of his medical bill.
This happened so often; Temari would get sicksicksick and be stuck in his house for days, waiting for someone to come by and relieve his boredom. Prevent cabin fever; or at least, this was how Mao saw it, and this was why he made a point to visit Temari every time he had one of these periods of time locked in his house.
They got longer and longer and longer...

This time he had brought a movie, some random DVD he'd read the back of sitting at work. It sounded funny and Temari needed funny. He'd brought his friend's homework in a folder, knowing very well that just being able to see what it was would kill some of the stress on the redhead's mind.
Temari's mother always asked him to use antibacterial lotion and wear a mask to prevent germs from entering the boy's bloodstream. Mao was healthy; he'd use the lotion, but not the mask. Better not to make Temari feel uncomfortable.
He knocked twice, then once more- always a sign that it was him.
Hearing the knocks caused Temari's heart to race. He knew that knock like the back of his hand. It had been such a long time since the last time he saw Mao. He hoped his friend was doing well at least.
Getting up from his bed he went as quickly as his body let him, to the door and opened it. Even though Mao probably couldn't see because of the mask, Temari was smiling.
"Mao!" he exclaimed. He began to lean forward to give him a hug but felt that he probably shouldn't. "Come on back to my room and don't forget to lock the door back." With that the redhead began to head back to his room before his body decided to make him feel dizzy again.
Mao smiled, following his friend after locking the door. His parents weren't home- that was good. They might actually be able to act normal then. Honestly, how was Temari supposed to cope if everyone treated him like a sheet of glass that could break at any moment?
All parents sucked.
End of story.
"Careful, don't fall over." He casually wandered behind Temari, DVD in hand, bag ready to be set in the corner. "I brought your homework... and a movie."
"Thanks," he replied as he walked back to the room holding his hand out to the wall to keep himself balanced. He really didn't want to fall over either considering the last time he did he ended up with a nice bruise on his shoulder from his dresser.
"What kind of movie?" The redhead crawled into his bed sitting up right to prevent the drowsiness from his medicine to kick in quicker.
"Some comedy." Mao ran his tongue across his teeth. He'd never heard of the movie before, but he hadn't had enough spare change on him to rent a new release, so he'd grabbed the first thing that didn't sound completely stupid. "Hope it's fine... whatever it is, it's better than just sitting around."
He knelt in front of Temari's TV- whenever they watched TV together, he was the one to turn it on. Kid had his own DVD player, VCR, whatever else he needed- then again, someone bedridden as often as he was definitely deserved it.
Yeah," he laughed a little in agreement before going into a small coughing fit. Once it calmed he rubbed his eyes a little and watched his friend set up the movie. He always felt bad for having Mao handle the electronic stuff whenever he came over. Mao was his guest and he should have been doing it.
"If you're hungry there's food in the fridge."
"Oh, I'm all right." Mao tried not to eat in front of Temari when it wasn't necessary since the boy seemed to be in a permanent state of nausea. It was just polite not to make it worse, or so he thought. "I ate before I came here."
Which was true.
Stealing from his parents' wallets on occasion was nice.
"Okay, here we are. Sorry if it sucks." He closed the DVD player and picked up a remote, waiting for the illegal copying will make the devil come visit blah blah blah nonsense to pass.
Temari's eyes automatically went to his TV once he noticed the movie had started. He doubted he would pay much attention to the movie but he should at least try to anyway. He hadn't seen a movie in a good while. He never really wanted to ask his parents for the money to go to the movies in the first place. That, and his parent's wouldn't let him go out anyway.
The first thing Mao noticed was that the menu featured a background of some very made up lady rolling around and fondling her breasts.
...
Well, comedies were known to be crude, right?
He also noticed that there were no special features, but that was hardly important. Maybe the movie was just old and lame as they often were.
He pushed play, waiting for the screen to change.
What the hell was that on the menu?
Temari was truely caught off guard when he saw the background for the menu and it showed very well in his widely opened eyes. This was a comedy right? Maybe he should just wait for the movie to start playing and it would get better. Yeah...thats it.
Mao noticed something was wrong within two minutes of the first scene. No credits, bad quality, and a slow motion sequence of different heterosexual positions.
...
Well.
He was immediately embarrassed. Of course he'd seen porn before, but not with Temari in the room... and girls in pornos were too loud and shrill and annoying...
...how long would it take Temari react?
He had to wonder.
Tha hell...?
Temari frowned a little as he stared at the screen trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Where were the credits and funny intro? This was not a funny intro at all.
Then it hit him. Were they...? Are they...?
"IS THIS PORN!?" he yelled as he leaned forward in his bed staring at it in shock. "Mao this isn't my idea of a comedy..." he frowned saying as he looked at his friend.
Mao turned around slowly, cheeks bright red and eyes apologetic. Temari wouldn't approve of porn, he knew that... and also, he was pretty sure Temari liked girls, so...
...
"Wrong DVD," he said softly, holding up the box. "Someone must've stole the real one or something." He wouldn't be at all surprised if Reita didn't check before stocking things again- or, if he did, he probably just shook it to see if he could hear a disc.
It was....
..a bit funny.
In its own way.
Temari didn't find it funny and it showed by his poker face and the fact that he wasn't laughing. In fact his face was starting to turn a little red because the movie was still playing and he could still hear the TV very well even if he was looking at Mao.
"Just turn it off..." He really didn't want to continue watching it at all.
Mao swallowed, feeling almost a little guilty, although he didn't know why- it wasn't his fault, after all. But Temari looked so pissed.
"Yeah... 'kay..."
The stop button was hit immediately and the DVD taken out. He'd make a mental note to tell Reita the next time he went into work.
The redhead sighed as he scooted back in his bed. That was....interesting. Even though he was annoyed with the fact that the comedy was replaced with porn it was sort of amusing. He had never seen actual porn before so maybe he should have just kept his mouth shut and continued watching. Too late now...
"Umm....we could always just watch tv...? I mean unless you wanted to watch it...? I guess I could..." he shrugged and looked down at his bedsheets. "Put up with it or something."
Mao shrugged, not caring at all wether they watched it or not. After all, heterosexual porn did nothing for him; gave him a mild headache, if anything, but Temari really needed to...
...loosen up.
Badly.
"I don't care. We can if you want to. Whatever you want." Temari shared none of his thoughts ever, really; it was a bit frustrating.
Temari shrugged right back as he continued to look down at his bed sheets. He didn't really want to tell his friend that he was kind of curious about it.
"Well..." he began as he smoothed out the folds in his sheets. "I've never actually seen one and well...you did go through the trouble of getting a movie so...I guess we shouldn't let it go to waste?"
Ugh, Temari you idiot. He covered his face with his hand to at least hide some of the fact that he was blushing. He never sounded so stupid to himself.
"Okay," Mao said quickly, automatically putting the DVD back in and trying to hide his smile. So Temari was a bit curious, at least; well, maybe he'd learn something.
Hopefully.
The boy was so sheltered, it was ridiculous.
Now knowing what to expect, he sat back, prepared to sit through awkward positions and lots of screeching. Crying, even- porn in Japan was so fucking weird.
All the screeching was a bit annoying but over all Temari didn't think it was that bad. Though he really didn't know what to expect from it really. Sure the plot was crappy but the sex was amusing to watch. He didn't notice that it was the movie and not his medicine that was making him feel weird. He didn't even notice the small tent he was making in his sheets. Hopefully Mao wouldn't notice.
Mao did not notice; was, in fact, spacing out as always, trying to ignore the screeching of the girl and the way her boobs jiggled every time the guy slammed into her. Maybe he was a million percent gay, but... how did people get off on this?
His mind drifted so easily this days that he didn't have a problem ignoring it. The same thoughts over and over, really; Kyo, Olivia marrying a random drug dealer, Kyo, Kyo, Kyo... he wanted to talk to the teacher again, but he didn't have the courage.
The girl was lost in one endless, wordless wail. It seemed to last forever, only getting louder and penetrating Mao's skull.
Oi.
Once the movie was finally over was when Temari noticed that he pitched tent in his sheets. "Shit.." he gasped as he quickly reached behind himself and sat his pillow in his lap to hide it. How long was that going to be there...not long he hoped.
"That was...interesting," he said to let Mao know he was still alive.
"Huh? Oh, yeah." Mao had tuned out completely; had almost fell asleep, in reality, eyes droopy, closing every so often. Really, his mind was like another world- and once he got in, it was really hard to get back out.
He stood up and stretched...
...and noticed the conveniently placed pillow on Temari's lap.
....It was a relief, really, because there were times when Mao questioned whether his friend was capable or not. But on the other hand... he couldn't just stand there and stare, could he?
"...I'll be right back."
He left the room quickly, hoping Temari would take use of the time he spent wandering through his house, possibly rooting through his fridge.... staring out his window....
Temari watched his friend leave the room and once he saw that he was out of sight he quickly threw the covers off of him and shoved his pants off to stare at his erection. Shit shit shit. He huffed frustratedly as he stared at it. It felt awkward to masturbate while your friend was still in the house to him but...he had to do it.
Taking a deep breath and exhaling the boy grabbed his cock and began to do what every healthy boy his age does..masturbate. Thank goodness for him he didn't make a lot of noise and the small noise that he did make was muffled by both his mask and him biting his lip.
After a few minutes he eventually came and quickly wiped up the mess he made on himself and on his carpet. Hopefully that wouldn't stain because he didn't want to explain that to his mother.
Mao spent a good fifteen minutes eating an ice cream bar out of Temari's freezer and reading all the notes on his fridge before looking down the hall.
...To go or not to go?
Would he be done by now?
Would he even have started?
He licked his lips and put the stick and wrapper in the trashcan before heading back slowly towards Temari's door, listening for any ominous noise.
There was none.
Good enough.
He pushed the door open ever so slowly and found himself immediately greeted with a semifamiliar scent.
....Ha!
Temari just sat in his bed trying to play it off like he didn't even do anything. He just sat there looking over his homework until he heard Mao come back in. Looking up he waved to his friend as he sat the homework back down.
"So umm...how's your job going?" He might as well talk about something other than the porn because he had about enough of that excitement for today.
"Good." Mao sat by him, peering at his homework. He took advanced everything- and had Kyo's class in the middle of the day. He saw the list Kyo had made for him and felt a bit disturbed knowing his grade was suddenly so much higher than Temari's- the one class they'd been able to lament over together.
"I still think my boss is insane..."
Apparently he'd shot at Olivia's house. Why the fuck...
...why did Olivia know his boss? Creepy.
Temari raised an eyebrow at his friend. Some how he found it possible that Mao's boss might actually be insane. It didn't take that much to run a video store...right?
"What do you mean? Are you safe there?" He really didn't want his best friend to end up in some hole in his bosses basement being asked to doing strange things that he didn't even want to think about.
Mao shrugged. Best not to tell Temari about the gun or the Yakuza, assuming he hadn't already; he didn't need to worry.
"Yeah, he's just... weird." Really weird; probably one of the weirdest people Mao had ever had the fortune of meeting. He was starting to like the guy, sort of, even if he was violent and odd.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry about me."
"Alright I'll try not to," he replied nodding his head a little. He just couldn't help but worry about his only friend. His only friend that was having more of a life than he was. That had more friends than he did. Well....at least he had his grades.....except writing but everyone bombed that class.
His eyes wandered over to his homework again. He sighed as he pulled out the writing. "Why even bother to do the work if I still won't pass...I hate that class." He tossed the writing homework on the floor and sighed again.

His eyes wandered over to his homework again. He sighed as he pulled out the writing. "Why even bother to do the work if I still won't pass...I hate that class." He tossed the writing homework on the floor and sighed again.
Mao felt sick, watching it fall to the floor. Everyone was failing Kyo's class...
...except him.
He hadn't expected there to be side effects of passing a class, really; after all, wasn't that supposed to be good? But being one of maybe three [or less] people was not good for him, socially.
"I think Kyo is just... picky."
How could he hide anything from Temari, having this conversation?
Temari laughed sarcastically as he crossed his arms. "No he's an asshole," he frowned saying with complete seriousness in his voice. He hated failing any class and seeing as that was the only class he was failing currently there had to be a problem.
"How can a teacher fail almost all of his class even though they all turn in their work. It doesn't make sense."
"I don't know." Really, he didn't understand Kyo; he figured that he was picky as fuck... way too picky, expecting way too much, possibly a little insane...
...but an asshole?
Maybe not entirely.
"I guess it's just... how he works."
Yeah, that made sense- and was easy to say for the one person who had a B in the class.
"He should be fired," Temari continued on. "There is no way they can let a man keep his job if all his students are failing." The redhead looked over to his friend to see if he was even remotely as furious as he was.
"Aren't you mad too Mao? You're failing too aren't you?"
"...Uh..."
yes
no
yes
no
He didn't want to admit that he wasn't, because then he'd need an explanation... but then, he didn't want to lie about something like that to Temari- something the guy cared about so much.
"...No."
He swallowed, somehow incredibly guilty.
"I have a B."
He didn't need to know how he'd gotten there.
Within seconds his eyes widened and his jaw dropped behind his mask. He stared at his friend in utter shock at what he had just told him.
"How the hell do you have a B?! A B! I bust my ass to give him A-grade material and I still get F's!" The redhead whimpered as he held his head. He just couldn't believe it. He didn't want to believe it. "You're kidding right?"
Mao could feel a blush creeping across his cheeks, down his neck; why was B so embarassing instead of an F? It made no sense...
...and if he was going to learn to rebel, this was really on the wrong track.
"N-no, I'm not kidding."
do not ask how
do not ask how
What excuse could there be?
Temari looked at his friend for a long time. The idea of anyone getting a passing grade was quite surprising to him anyway. "What kind of extra credit did you have to do to manage to get a B? Did you have to clean his house or something?"
Clean his house...? Mao blushed again, laughing softly. "No, I didn't clean his house..."
He cursed his inability to lie and praised Temari's ability to tell whether someone was being honest or not. If he could just... dodge the question by denying everything the boy said, then maybe...
Yeah.
That would work.
Hopefully.
"Well what'd you do? If you can shoot up to getting a B then I'll do it too. I mean he probably had you do some stupid chore to humilate you right?" At least in Temari's mind Kyo seemed to be that kind of a person. A person who liked to see others suffer just for their amusement. He hated people like that.
Warmer.
Warmer...
Mao forced a glare onto his face, feigning anger to hide his humiliation. "What makes you think I can't earn it with my writing? I am a writer, after all."
Total bullshit; Kyo had given him an F for repeating words, but Temari didn't have to know about that little conversation- or anything that had followed.
Seeing the glare on Mao's face made Temari shut up. Maybe Mao did earn that B because of his writing. Temari didn't think of himself as much of a writer so maybe he did deserve the F that he constantly got.
The redhead looked away from his friend and covered his face. He had made a total fool of himself. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay." Mao's expression softened instantly; he couldn't blame Temari for being curious. After all, the kid's grades were his life..
...maybe he could convince Kyo to go a little easier on him...
if he did it again.
After all, why should the teacher give a damn about what he wanted now?
...Maybe he could give up something else for Temari's grade...
...
What a thought.
"I didn't mean to offend you really," he said turning back to his friend. His eyes looked like they were going to burst into tears at any moment. The poor boy didn't like doing anything that may have jeopardized his friendship with Mao.
"I...its just..." the boy sighed as he laid down in his bed. He was starting to feel the effects of the medicine now. That drowziness was no joke. "I'm sorry."
"I'm not offended," Mao insisted gently, moving to the side so Temari could lay down, though really, he was only half paying attention.
Could he do that?
Do anything Kyo wanted to help his friend?
He'd like to think he'd do it for any friend, but the fact that Temari was sick made a huge impact in it- after all, academic happiness was the only kind he got, really, and who knew how much longer he'd get to live? It was a sickening thought, but he'd sort of learned to face it.
"...Are you tired?"
"Just a little.." he murmured as his eyes slowly began to close. He didn't really mean to fall asleep on his best friend but he couldn't help it. The medicine was kicking in full gear and there was no way to open his eyes again. Temari would apologize to Mao as soon as he woke up.
