A note on canon and verses.
Short version: let's make it work.
Long version: Catch-up with canon: the final issue of Siege and New Avengers Finale are both out today. "Avengers Day" is next Wednesday, May 19 which coincidentally is also Carol's birthday. Nifty-ness. Anyway, at that point Carol's plotline will catch-up to canon -- what that means exactly is still up in the air BUT the main point should be 'the good guys take back the country'. Carol, Peter, Jessica and Luke are all confirmed for New Avengers so that is the main comic I will be following going forward (aside: Carol and Peter are SO CUTE together, they are dancing around dating <3).
Now, normally I avoid "verses" because it gets confusing and I just start a new journal to play out something new. BUT, I can't afford a billion paid accounts (and love my many icons) and with my busy schedule I've been narrowing my focus. I want to play along with some of the movieverse and movieverse-inspired stuff that is cropping up with the new movie. And I've wanted to play out some ultimateverse because Carol is actually a key character in New Ultimates at the moment (and sleeping with Tony Stark, WIN). So, all that in mind, I'm going to use this journal to engage with muses who are on (or following along with) a different Marvel-inspired timeline and when I do she will be a more base Carol. I'm thinking:
+ Childhood intact
+ Air Force
+ Military Intellingence/SHIELD -- undercover, of course
+ Journalist
This puts her earlier in her 616 and Ultimate canon and I can imagine concurrent with the movies. Everything else will be "see as we go". I'm not going to tag meme-type entries, but if an entry is specific to a certain plot, I'll tag that. I have been and continue to be very busy, but I hope to be a little more active as things are happening :)
Any questions, comments, suggestions -- or if you have a Tony who wants to sex up Carol instead of Pepper -- hit me.
