"what in the shit do RNA virus' do?" - Prof Maniloff

I can never get out the door on Mondays, I not only have to decide what to wear to class but what I'm going to wear at work and pack those clothes as well. I also have to pack my dinner for work and my stuff for class. Don't suggest I do this the night before b/c I really can't anticipate how fat I'm going to feel the next day when I go to bed. So today I get to the U of R and pull into a parking space as Tessa is cruising past on her bike. She waits for me and what do I realize? I forgot my backpack! Like who goes to school completely forgetting their school stuff. It didn't really matter b/c we got new notes handed out today and I had a pen in my purse but seriously, dumb. And then the proff turned all the lights off to show us pictures of virus' and was trying to find a combo of lights that the room wasn't completely dark. He manages to turn everything off except for the one round light right above me so I was in a spotlight for that whole portion of the lecture.

This morning I was majorly bummed out an anxious about med school apps. This like looming sense of hopelessness and dread tends to wash over me if I spend too much time thinking about them. For once work was good because it let me focus on something else and stop feeling like crap. The only draw back was it was a Monday afternoon (and at least I know what that means).
