The MCAT is over. It took me just under five hours on the computer as opposed to 9.5 on paper. Don't bother asking me how it was. I hate that question. I don't know how it was, I'll know how it was when I get my god damn score back. Its a scaled test that you can do really well on by generally bating like a 60%. I'm sure I got a lot wrong, but that can be perfectly ok, or it can be lethal. Having gotten my score on the Kaplan practice tests with in five seconds of pressing submit, I have no sense of how I did. I never bothered to ponder it, I just looked at my numbers.
I made it to the wedding with plenty of time to spare. I pulled out of there around 1:05 having changed from slob to wedding guest in the bathroom of the Pittsford Plaza Mall. My cousin Lyndsey married her long standing significant other Kevin, who I like a lot and have considered my cousin for quite some time. It was a simple but elegant wedding at the church in West Bloomfield that some of my family frequents. Despite my phobia of over zealous chirstians I like the minister there. My cousin Jeffery sang a song. I definately cried even though I told myself I wouldn't. The reception followed in the basement. Kevin is a chef and did most of the cooking himself which I was very impressed by. It was low key but everyone had a fun time and it was really relaxed. Lyndsey looked like a million bucks, Kevin looked cute in his tux. Their daughter Aryanna was the CUTTEST thing ever in this beautiful miniature white dress. She and her cousin Kaitlyn were the flower girls which was unbelievably cute. It was really nice to see my family, a lot of people I haven't seen it way too long.
Today I boxed up all my MCAT stuff and cleaned out my desk in the dining room. A good post exam clean up to help change gears. I threw out a lot of stuff from my desk. I'm a real packrat and I would like to note today I threw out such things as my age 16-17 work permit, the original slip of paper from passing my divers license test and a favorite troll pencil topper circa. 1994, just to name a few things.
