1. Your main fandom of the year?
Definitely the Barbie fandom. I spent a lot of time on that this year.

2. Your favorite film watched this year?
Either Toy Story 3 or Legend of the Guardians. The last one is exactly the sort of thing I want to write, only without the slow-motion shots and with more insects.

3. Your favorite book read this year?
Oh, that's tough. I read a lot - seriously, a LOT - so it's kind of hard to single one out. I guess I'll have to go with Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I love that series to death, and that was a seriously powerful book, in my opinion. Couldn't stop thinking about it for nearly a week.

4. Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
The Very Best of Enya. I've been listening to this constantly since I bought it at the beginning of the year. Utterly fantastic album.

5. Your favorite TV show of the year?
Misfits. It got the balance of drama, comedy and suspense just right and was completely enjoyable even into its second series, which isn't an easy task for most TV shows. I really got into Glee, too.

6. Your favorite LJ community of the year?
monster_high . Great community, a lot going on over there and it's never dull.

7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
Monster High again.

8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
"Oh, hey, Mattel! You know those fantasy films which were really popular and brought you a whole fanbase of various ages? Yeah, well, why don't you just ditch all that and jump on the 'all modern, all fashion' bandwagon? Oh, and don't forget to get rid of Kelly Sheridan, too!"

Yes, THAT. Hands down.

9. Your fandom boyfriend of the year?
Well, it'll have to be Major Mint, won't it? Granted, he hasn't had much competition this year, and I'm not sure I have a crush on him since one of the main reasons I like him is because he reminds me of myself, but still... Major Mint.

10. Your fandom girlfriend of the year?
Not really sure, actually. If we're talking about female characters I like, I suppose it'll be either Katniss from The Hunger Games or Cleo De Nile.

11. Your biggest squee moment of the year?
When I opened a magazine and found this. Slightly embarrassing, I know, but it was even more embarrassing when I opened it in front of my parents. Oh, and the Nutcracker screening in Dublin, of course.

12. The most missed of your old fandoms?
The Simpsons. Okay, I haven't actually left it yet, but I've literally got one foot out the door with this one and I'm only really paying attention out of habit. I've been part of this fandom for five years, after all. FIVE YEARS. But since the plots got increasingly dull, my favourite characters barely appear anymore and one I can't stand seems to be shoved into EVERY SINGLE EPISODE nowadays... well, I have a feeling I'll be leaving this one very soon. It was fun while it lasted, though. I also miss the Chicken Little fandom I was a part of, which basically faded away into obscurity.

13. The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
I am quite curious about the Glee fandom, I have to say. Other than that... not much, really.

14. Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
Quite a bit, actually. A new series of Tracy Beaker returns starts next year, which is great, and Holt and Ghoulia are supposed to show up here in May (at least, I hope they will. Who can tell at this rate?). The final Harry Potter movie's going to be out, and if it's anywhere near as good as part 1 then it should be impressive. Oh, and despite Mattel's shoddy behaviour as of late, some tiny part of me is still hoping they'll bring out "Nutcracker" dolls to celebrate the movie's tenth anniversary. Yeah, some part of me still hasn't given up on that accurate Major Mint doll. Oh, well...
