gelbes_gilatier aka RowenaR's birthday. If you want some really amazing Lorne/Cadman fic you should check her stuff out, it blows me away every single time. Oh and its also because of the lovely Row that I became a Lorne/Cadman shipper. Finally any feedback is welcome and will earn you a cookie from my stockpile but flames will be used to roast marshmellows for my virtual s'mores. :)
Dancing in the Dark
Dancin’ in the dark
middle of the night
takin’ your heart
and holdin’ it tight
“It’s Your Love” Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Moving fluidly they flowed each an extension of the other. Moonlight filtered through the glass illuminating the space, their eyes remaining locked on each other as they moved about the space. Looking at her he could see she was just as nervous as he was. While what they were doing wasn’t against regs, it still felt a little alien to them both.
“Nervous?” Lorne asked her softly, looking into her eyes waiting for a reply.
“Never!” Laura replied with a scoff, as she looked into his impossibly blue eyes. “I handle dynamite every day.” She said with a grin. A slight grin piqued his lips as he chuckled to himself, silently.
They had stopped moving and they just stood regarding each other. Licking his lips nervously he dropped her hand and stepped away from her with a soft sigh.
Looking at him she tried to push away the butterflies that were suddenly dive-bombing her stomach. Surely they must be from nerves she assured herself, not from his hand that was suddenly missing from the small of her back, or the way she felt in his arms as they moved with each other.
“So remind me, why exactly are we doing this again. Sir?” she asked. The sir was tacked hastily on the end, because he was her CO dammit, and she could NOT be falling for him. It was against the regs, she reminded herself silently as she looked at him, waiting for his answer.
“That would be because Colonel Sheppard ordered us to.” Lorne replied with a soft chuckle as he moved towards her.
“Well guess that’ll teach us to do it in the mess hall, won’t it?” she replied with a grin and a slight wink.
“Yeah, well if you hadn’t of dared me to…” Before he could finish there was soft cough behind him. Spinning quickly around he found Colonel Sheppard leaning against the doorframe grinning at them.
“If Cadman hadn’t dared you to do what, Lorne?” Sheppard said as he stood up, hands shoved in his pockets.
“Uh, nothing, sir.” Lorne quickly replied eyes locked on his CO.
“Well in that case, is Atlantis’ dynamite dancing duo ready for their curtain call?” he asked with a soft chuckle.
“Yes, sir!” they replied in perfect unison before following him out of the room.
