Some thoughts...
Hm, got some chores done today, which is good. Cooked jah-jian noodle sauce in preparation for next week, and as soon as I run to the chinese market, I will get the things needed for Curry.
Laundry is in the wash, go me! Well, the dark colored ones at least...
Amused myself this morning by going to DA's complaint forums and reading up on the recent outrage(?) and counter-outrage on the new ads on the free-users' pages. Saw both sides yell and rant at each other, get off topic, be personally insulting, etc. My two cents? Well, I was planning to get a DA subscription before they started the pushy advertising, but it's slightly irritating and offends my sensibilities to pay for something that they are being so pushy about. I understand the need for it, and I don't condone them for it, but the way the admins carried it out really did not impress me.
That said, I think I'll use the money I would've spent on the DA subscription on something else, like an LJ subscription. LJ's been great so far, even though I am but a puny free user.^_^
Things to do today? make curry, fried rice, and stock up on milk and chai and other necessities. Finish laundry, double check the bills, and call Mel to see if she can stay over next tues when the gas people are coming to light the pilot of my furnace.
Okies, I go. Must figure out how much money is left and what my budget is for presents this year...
