Since I'm trying to not do drive-by updates........here's some manga impressions!
KHR: I got caught up to the end of the TYL arc a few days ago...and I'm torn between being amused (DragonBall flashbacks!) and...well, a little disappointed. The storytelling definitely was starting to suffer, and I wasn't even sure what the heck was happening...
The next arc looks like a return to insanity though, so there's something to look forward to.
DGM: ...I haven't read the latest chapter yet! I don't even know if it's out yet! Don't tell me!
So far, it's been lovely, lovely mindfuck. And wow, Kanda's one messed up sunovabitch. It's been one heck of a digression though...
Silver Diamond: Actually, I haven't read anything new for SD, but I did get my hands on the scans of the official Chinese release, which means I can stop guessing at simplified characters. :D So if vol. 16 was Chigusa-at-1-HP, then vol. 17 was Chigusa-levels-up (while more shit hits the fan). Honestly, does he even NEED the level up??? He's already got auto-regen and auto-life and who knows what else 'equipped', if we're going to talk RPG terms. Not to mention he seems to have started the series at level 99. :P
(this is not to say awesome things didn't happen and other characters didn't get tons of screen time. I just have a thing for people suffering from low EQ in stories)
