Infinity, it would seem. It doesn't matter how much I blow my nose or how much snot comes out, I am still blocked up. This is a very unpleasant cold, what with the sore throat and balloon head feeling. It's my birthday on Saturday, hello immune system you need to get this sorted out. In any case I'm going to the doctors tomorrow to hopefully get some kind of miracle cure.
I've got a keg for the party and I've just hired an outdoor gas heater. The only thing I'm worried about is that no one will come because I've been so disorganised with the invites. I haven't heard back from many people who are actually coming.. mostly the people who can't come have replied. The good thing is that our house is pretty small, so even if only 20 people come it'll seem like there are heaps of people.
Last night JJ and I were watching insight and they were talking about the
culture test and there was a young lebanese girl who hadn't been brought up particularly traditionally muslim, but married a rather traditional lebanese lad. She hadn't been to university before they married but still wanted to go. He was of the opinion that university was something you did before you got married, and that getting married meant having kids, settling down and moving forward in your life with your partner. The host asked the girl how the story ended and she said "I went to university." My god how we laughed! We were both honestly expecting that she would have had to submit to what her husband thought, but in fact it was the opposite way around. I love it.
