"My family... is here..."

As the light faded from the sky, Muzai sat and with eyes not quite human, watched the coming of the night.

A few hundred miles from the rock and the cyborg, in a large cabin in the middle of a forest, a glass fell to the floor and shattered into a million peices.
"Jonen no baka!" a teenage girl's voice screeched.
"Baka?!" Jonen shouted back. "You're supposed to dry, not me!"
"It's your turn!"
"Is not!"
"Kids kids kids," Mameko automatically took a dust pan and brush out from a cubbord and started cleaning up. "I don't care who's turn it is. Just get the dishes done without killing eachother."
"He started it!"
"Whatever."
"Rumiko, Jonen. Enough. Go to your rooms."
"But kaaaasaaaannn!"
"GO!"
Mameko flopped down on an overstuffed and tattered couch in the living room. Jonen's twin Jusay was reading quietly in a chair to her left and the youngest, Naoko was drawing a picture, unfazed by the argument from the kitchen.
"Why can't they be more like you..." she muttered, rubbing her eyes.
Jusay glanced at the stairs. "There's got to be some like that in every family, i suppose."
'That's not what i meant...' Mameko thought.
"I made a princess!" Naoko piped and held up her drawing. It was messy, but very cute.
"That's nice, honey." Finding no peace in that room, Mameko went upstairs to her own bedroom. She could hear Rumiko and Jonen cursing at eachother as she neared the top of the stairs. "Not a peep out of you two or no desert!"
"Awww!"
Before she could get to her room, the sound of feet charging down the attic steps announced her eldest. "Hey Mom!" Akira called to her.
"WHAT?!" she shouted back, annoyed. The hurt look on his face made her regret her tone. "Sorry. What is it, Akira?"
"I just wanted to know if I could go over to Capsule this weekend. Hiro got this badass new gamesystem and..."
"Sure."
He looked astounded. "Right on! Thanks Mom!"
"As long as I can come with you."
"What?!" Akira's expression fell. "Aw, Mom..."
"I want to see Muzai and Koshi-sama. It's been so long..." Her face looked sudenly very sad.
"Uh, ok Mom. Thanks." Akira retreated back up to his attic room.
Mameko sighed, glad she now had something to look forward to. She chuckled. "Let Nana deal with Rumiko and Jonen for a while on his own hehehehe."

On Friday evening, Akira and Mameko arrived at Capsule Corp. Mameko was only a little bit angry at her son for not having gotten invited in the first place.
"Akira, one usually asks the Prince of our people if one can stay at his house before showing up!"
"Mr. Oujisama's hardly around anymore anyway."
"That's not the point, this is rude!" she hissed as a familiar silhouette came to the door. "Konban wa, Koshi-sama..."
